Members

The “Members” section allows team admins to add or delete members and set permissions, enabling each member to access browser profiles and team resources as needed, making teamwork and account management simpler and more secure.

After your payment is successfully processed, your new subscription will take effect immediately, and you can start adding new team members.

Add Members

There are two ways to add members to your team:

Create account –Create internal members. The member account belongs to the team, and the team can modify the login account prefix and password.

Invite via email –Create external members. The member account belongs to the member themselves, and the team cannot modify the login email or password.

(Therefore, please ensure that the account email is valid. If the email is lost or needs to be changed, the team owner must create a new account with a different email address.)

Method 1: Create account – Quickly create a member account

1. Member group: A member group is a collection of users with the same permissions. Instead of assigning permissions individually, you can assign the same permissions to all members at once, making it faster and easier.

2. Login account:Set the login email for this member.

1. Please note that member accounts created this way use a virtual email; therefore, the member will NOT be able to receive verification emails or bind an authenticator.
Solution: The team owner/admin should turn off Two‑Step Verification in Global Settings so members can log in with just their username and password. (If you don't want to disable 2FA and want the member to receive verification codes when logging in, please use another method to add the member --Invite via Email)

2. For members created in this way, the email prefix can be modified (the email suffix cannot be changed):

*If an internal member's email was created a long time ago, it might not follow the unified email suffix format. The team can update it to a system-generated email with the unified suffix. Please note that once it is changed to a unified (virtual) email, it cannot be reverted back to the original email.

3. Password

Set the password for the member account

The team owner/admin can set or reset the passwords for members created this way.

4. Identity:

💡 In AdsPower, every member has a role, and each role has different permissions.

Administrator: Able to edit all users' functions and their access to profile groups.

Manager: Able to add members and edit members' access to profile groups. You can assign employees to the manager.

Employee:
Unable to add members or edit members' access to profile groups. You can assign a manager to the employee.

5. Authorized group: The groups this member can access. Once selected, the member can view the profiles within these groups.

6. Profile limit: The profile limit is the total number of profiles a member can access. For example, if a member already has access to 10 profiles and the limit is set to 20, they can create up to 10 more profiles. Leave blank if there's no limit.

7. Remark: Optional, used for easier identification.

Click OK and give the account information(email & password) to your team member.

Method 2: Invite via email – Invite others to join your team via email verification

Members added in this way are guaranteed to have a valid email address. However, the team owner/admin CANNOT set or reset the member's log-in email or password.

1. Member group: A member group is a collection of users with the same permissions. Instead of assigning permissions individually, you can assign the same permissions to all members at once, making it faster and easier.

2. Email: The member will receive an invitation via email. Please make sure the email address is valid and remind the recipient to confirm and accept the invitation.

1. An email that has already been invited to join the team cannot be invited again.

2. Once invited, the recipient will receive a notification email. They need to click
"Join Team" and set a password (or enter their existing AdsPower password if they have previously registered) to sign up and join your team.

3. After joining the team, the member's status will change to
"Joined" .  Before that, the status will show as "Pending" . However, if the member does not join your team within 72 hours, the status will change to "Expired" and you can invite them again.

4. Members who join the team using this method will receive a notification email and an AdsPower in-app message after successfully joining.

3. Name: Set a name for this member.

After filling in all the above information, click "OK" and the member will receive the invitation email.

Set permissions for the member

Click on a member group, then select the Function Permission tab. Here, you can set permissions for the member group.

All members within the same member group share the same functional permissions.

Delete Members

Deleting a member is permanent. Once the action is performed, it cannot be undone and can only be restored by adding the member again.

Note: Members added via "Invite via email" will receive an AdsPower in-app notification and an email notification when they are removed.
