Extension FAQ

Here are some common errors that you may meet with extensions. Please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the problem.

Error: Failed to get access to the extension

Reason: This is because this extension is not published in the Chrome Web Store (cannot be searched by name); therefore, we cannot access it by link. 

Solution: Use the CRX Extractor/Downloader to download the extension installation package, and then upload it to Adspower via a zip file.

 

Error: Installation root directory contains more than 3 sub-directory

Reason: The extension folder you try to upload contains more than 3 sub-folders, preventing the system from unzipping it. 

Solution: Try to reduce the extra sub-folder in the file, for example, by moving the file to the previous folder.

 

Error: Incompatibility between extension and browser

 

 

Reason: Version mismatch between the extension and the profile kernel.  

Solution: Update both extension version and kernel version.
