Settings

By clicking on the account icon → Settings in the top right corner of the AdsPower Browser client, you can go to the following sections:

  • The My Account section allows you to change some of the data specified during registration, such as your password and username.
  • The Preferences section allows you to create a profile template with preset parameters.
  • The Local settings section allows you to monitor and manage data storage of AdsPower on your computer, and configure access to your data to meet your specific business.


My Account

Account Information

Name - Enter your preferred name to change your nickname.

Email - It's not allowed to change it since it's the only way to verify your account.

If you are unable to log in using the only login method, contact support and we will assist you!

Password - To change your password, click on the "Edit" button. In the pop-up window enter your “Old password”, provide a “New password” and confirm it. Click "OK". After a successful password change, all devices will be logged out, and you will need to log in again using the new password.

Authenticator - To make your account more secure, binding your account’s 2FA via an authenticator is a nice choice. Scan the QR code with the authenticator on your mobile phone. Here is the instruction on how to enable 2FA.

Binded to - You can sign up with your Google/Facebook/Vkontakte account or link your existing account to log in to your AdsPower account via your Google/Facebook/Vkontakte account.

💡 Of course you can remove the bound social media accounts at any time by clicking Unbound. Data won’t be shared after unlinking the third party.

Login Activity

This section provides login information including the IP address, location, device type and last active login. If you've forgotten to log out your account on a shared device or notice any suspicious activity, you can revoke any active sessions.

Other

Language allows you to change AdsPower client's language. Also, Google Translation can help translate the client, and you can clear the translation if you don't need it.

Timezone allows you to set the AdsPower client's time zone manually. This setting is applied within the client (ex. Last opened time) and will not affect the timezone fingerprint for your profiles.

Notifications Here you can unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters. After unsubscribing, you will no longer receive marketing newsletters from AdsPower.


Click OK at the bottom to save the change.


Preferences

You can now effortlessly set and save your own profile preferences, enabling the rapid application of these predefined configurations when creating new browser profiles, thus saving time and enhancing efficiency.

1. Locate and click on the “Preferences”.

2. You will see a form allowing you to configure various parameters such as browser type, operating system, hardware characteristics, etc. Adjust these parameters according to your needs.

All profile parameters, except the OS, can be edited later, after a profile has been created.

3. Once the configuration is complete, click the “Save setting” button to save your settings.

Once saved successfully, you can simply apply these preset fingerprint preferences when creating new browser instances.

Of course, you can go back to the default settings by clicking the "Restore default settings".

FAQ

Q: My saved settings are not taking effect; what should I do?

A: Please ensure that you have saved the settings. If the issue persists, contact our technical support.

Q: Can I save multiple fingerprint preference configurations?

A: Sorry but no. You can only save one profile template and it will be applied everytime you create profiles.


Local settings


Browser profile


Window positions-  allows you to set the opening position of browsers.

Note: If you change profile's screen resolution to a size that doesn't match your device screen resolution, "Open as maximized" may not take effect.

FB static resources - Allowing the current computer to use the local network to load Facebook static resources to save your proxy traffic. This setting can be set for the whole team by use the settings of Global Settings and also can be set idividually .


Performance

Hardware acceleration takes advantage of your computer's GPU to speed up processes and free up vital CPU time. This option is enabled by default.

Run UI automation tools - When this option is on, ShadowBot, UIPath and other UI automation testing tools will be adaptable.


RPA task



Number of task threads allows you to set the number of task threads, which is the number of running RPA tasks at the same time. The default value for this setting is 3. The maximum value for this setting is 100

Scheduled Task Log Deletion Record of RPA processed in Task Log can be automatically deleted once this setting is turned on. Mininum value of this settings is 1 day and Mximum is 180 days.

The data cannot be recovered once deleted. Please proceed with caution.


Cache settings

Cache Info contains information about the size of AdsPower Browser's cache on your hard drive. You can find the cache folder path by clicking the folder icon. For a Windows device, you can customize your cache directory while a custom directory is not supported in Mac due to system limit.

Cache size allows you to set the cache finder size limit. When reaching the cache size limit, no browser profile will be opened.

Backup allows you to automatically backup the data of LocalStorage, IndexDB, extensions, and history on your computer every time you close the profile. By clicking Cache data in the Profiles list, you can see the backups of each profile. By clicking "Restore", you can restore the backup.

Please note that only the past 5 local snapshots are saved.

💡Please update patch version to 2.6.2.6 and above to backup cache.

Delete Cache allows you to automatically delete the cache of browsers that have not been opened for a specific period to free space on your disk.  You can directly delete all cache by clicking "Delete all cache".

💡 It is strongly recommended that if you turn on this settings, set the time a little bit logner (ex. 30 days) to avoid unncecessary data loss.

Version information

Allow you to download the newest program versions and patch versions of AdsPower Browser client, and manage kernel versions of SunBrowser/FlowerBrowser as needed.

Automatic Update

Once opened, the corresponding update in the Update Center will be installed automatically.

Others

Page zoom -  Zoom in to make everything in the client app larger and zoom out to make everything smaller on your AdsPower client.

System Logs is a record of operating system events. The technical support team may ask you for logs to solve some problems, and you can find the files by clicking View details.

Network Detection Check your current local network status or your system proxy connection by clicking corresponding button.

Network Connection Allows you to connect the proxy network on your device. This feature is suitable for areas where the network is restricted.

Click Save Setting at the bottom to save the change.
